Join John for his 16 part series about photography. Each episode features John with a guest photographer, a new lesson or an equipment review.
His guests specialize in a wide range of disciplines, from landscape and nature to portrait and sports. Guests bring with them a collection of images to share. John finds out how the images were created and what motivates the photographer.
This is a great way to pick up all sorts of techniques and tips. Conversations can go from photoshop and lighting techniques to equipment selection and legal issues.
Every few weeks John taps the knowledge and resources of the northwest’s premier photographic store - Glazer’s Camera for an equipment review.
A selected employee with special knowledge will bring in a collection of gear for John and them to review. They discuss the various equipment options and then make comparisons between selected equipment.
Past shows have features: Entry Level D-SLRs, Intermediate Level D-SLR’s and tripods. Plans for future shows include: Professional D-SLRs, Medium Format D-SLRs, Rangefinder cameras, bags, printers, lighting equipment, toy cameras and anything else that people want to find out about.
From time to time John may also present a completely different show. It could be a special “Packing for Antarctica” or a field report from a far off location.
John loves teaching and can’t help himself from diving into a new subject to help explain how something works or how to do it yourself. Just like his classes you can expect top notch graphics and clear explanations on a variety of topics.
