I’m very sad to report that CreativeLive has announced that they are closing their digital doors and ceasing operation on December 31, 2025. As I spoke about in last’s months blog, CreativeLive and I go all the way back to their start in 2010, when I taught their first photography course, “Fundamentals in Digital Photography.
CreativeLive was purchased by Fiverr in 2021, supposedly with plans to grow the business. Over the last few years it was easy to see that investments in the operation were lagging and that this type of ending was eventual. My last course with CreativeLive was in 2019; I then spent a couple of years reorganizing my business before opening my new shop, with new courses in 2021.
Important Reminder
If you own courses from CreativeLive, you have until December 31st to watch or download your courses before they disappear. After that point, all the CreativeLive classes will be lost to the ether.
I have obtained the rights to sell my older classes and have most of those now available in the shop. However I do not have the CreativeLive customer database or purchase records, thus I unfortunately will not have the ability to grant access to courses that were purchased from CreativeLive.
CreativeLive was an important era in my life, I wouldn’t be where I am today without it. I’d like once again to thank all the crew, the audience members (in-person & online), and many others that played a roll in that collaborative and creative endeavor. I’m pleased that I’ve been able to bring many of those classic courses into my current shop and I now have the largest collection of camera classes available anywhere.
